Partnerships play a central role in the Head Start model. NHSA’s annual Parent Conference and Family Engagement Institutes is the only national event that focuses on how communities, parents, families, and Head Start program staff can best partner to promote both parent and family engagement and children’s learning and development.
From August 2014 through June 2015, the Head Start community - and the nation - will celebrate our shared commitment to giving America’s most vulnerable children a window of opportunity unlike any other.
NHSA and Teaching Strategies have teamed up to produce a poster to be distributed to all Head Start programs! Classrooms are challenged to make a mural about their favorite part of Head Start. National winners will be honored at a special event in Washington and the National Annual Conference.
Designed to address the epidemic of physical inactivity, the Go Smart web app is a “coach in your pocket” that gives teachers and families fun physical activities to play with children aged 0-5 any time, anywhere.
If you are an alum or your child attended Head Start, join us in a national campaign to encourage all former Head Start children and parents to identify themselves.
