Presenter: Anji Gallanos—MTP Coach, Teachstone

Anji Gallanos is a CLASS trainer and MTP coach with Teachstone. She has more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education. Anji has taught in the public school system as an early childhood special education teacher and worked closely with Head Start programs as a special education consultant. She has helped school districts form collaborative partnerships with Head Start programs and coordinated school district preschool programs. She was introduced to the CLASS framework while working as a region XI early childhood training and technical support specialist. Anji has helped local Head Start and school district early childhood programs utilize the CLASS framework to provide professional development opportunities for their program staff and teachers.

Teachstone and the National Head Start Association will host a series of one-day interactive boot camps for the Head Start community. Head Start leaders will gain skills and tips for improving teacher-student interactions, helping programs to boost their CLASS™ scores. The boot camp instructors will also be available during lunch to answer questions about how the CLASS measure can be used in dual-language settings. Each session will conclude with an emphasis on next steps and resources.

Participants will also:

·         Have the opportunity to participate in a follow-up webinar hosted by Teachstone’s instructors to review key lessons, address obstacles to implementation, and answer remaining questions.
