Join Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters® and National Head Start Association to learn how educators and organizations are helping families learn strategies to buy healthy, delicious foods on a limited budget.
Cooking Matters at the Store, an interactive grocery store tour, engages families where they shop to teach and practice skills like how to buy fruits and vegetables on a budget, read and compare food labels, compare unit prices, and identify whole grain foods. To date, nearly 18,000 participants have joined a tour in their community, and organizations across the countries are integrating this hands-on learning experience in the services they provide.
