In a unique configuration of location and content, the OHS Leadership Institute and NHSA’s 2013 Annual Conference are being held contiguously at the Gaylord National in Washington, D.C. The OHS Institute will support the use of data by Head Start leaders to promote school readiness and inform quality improvement. Presenters from the National Centers and Head Start programs will focus on data and decision-making related to systems and service delivery in all aspects of school readiness. The conference will clarify what is expected of programs in this area. The OHS Institute leads directly into NHSA’s 40th Annual Head Start Conference. Building on the material in the OHS Institute, the NHSA conference will delve into the 'how' of implementing the expectations that were set in their earlier sessions. The National Centers will expand the breadth and depth of their offerings in dozens of sessions. - Special Tracks and day-long sessions will explore current issues of great concern to programs.
- More than over 100 educational sessions, round-tables, and meetups;
- Special events such as the Gala and Awards Dinner, Alumni Reception, and the Research Symposium.
Combining the two events in the same place and the same week is an outstanding, efficient opportunity for attendees to both really grasp OHS priorities and to gain a workable knowledge of how to put that understanding into practice. Full Conference Schedule
