2013 Manager & Director Academy Overview The National Head Start Association is pleased to announce our 2013 Manager & Director Academy, June 24 - 27, 2013, Denver, Colorado. Our theme this year is Getting Results, Moving Forward. The 2013 MDA will once again focus on critical issues facing Head Start agencies of all sizes, throughout the Unites States. The 2013 MDA will be under the direction of Ms. Kristen Hayes. In addition to Ms. Hayes, content experts will be presenting throughout the four days. New this year - a special breakout for executive directors, directors and senior fiscal staff has been added to ensure time is allocated to drill down on strategic issues. Key topics to be covered in 2013 include - Leadership, Human Resources, Fiscal Systems and Outcomes Based Management. Once again, NHSA encourages teams of 3 or more to attend from each agency.  Kristen Hayes, MPM is a Management Consultant and advocate of high-quality programming for children and families. With 10 years’ experience in program implementation and public policy formation, she has worked with organizations across the country to secure grant funding through two Federal departments, and helped grantees effectively utilize funds to meet required outcomes.
