NHSA and the National Parent Teacher Association have partnered in a variety of ways to strengthen the connection of Head Start parents to their local PTA. This is especially important as children begin their transition into elementary school. Special preschool PTA groups also exist in many communities which bring together Head Start parents and teachers, child-care providers, grandparents, and others concerned with the education and development of children from birth to age five.
