As part of PNC Grow Up Great, a 10-year, $100 million commitment to school readiness, PNC Financial Services Group Inc. partners with NHSA to provide grants and corporate volunteers to Head Start programs. In its first year, PNC Grow Up Great provided $450,000 to foster innovative projects at 11 Head Start programs in PNC’s operating area. These demonstration projects will serve as models that can be replicated across the country.
PNC employees also comprise the largest corporate volunteer force in Head Start’s history, providing essential services ranging from classroom assistance to the development of computer networks. Other partners in the PNC Grow Up Great program include Sesame Workshop and Family Communications.
