The Division for Early Childhood
In addition to serving children from lower income families, Head Start provides high quality services to children with special needs. That’s why NHSA partners with The Council for Exceptional Children’s Division of Early Childhood (DEC). Through joint working groups and service provider education projects, NHSA and the DEC promote policies and practices that enhance the development of children with special needs and support their families in the Head Start community.
