Head Start Reauthorization Update(July 27, 2007)
NHSA has been in close communication with key Hill staff, thanking them for their work to date on the Head Start reauthorization bills, answering questions, responding to their requests, and addressing NHSA’s preferences on language between the two bills. The House has not yet selected members for the Conference Committee, however, pre-conference discussions have taken place between members of Congress and efforts are being made to move the legislative process forward.
Thank you to everyone who provided us with Policy Council examples from your programs, wrote letters, and made calls.
Dollar Per Child
NHSA is beginning a new year for the Dollar per Child Campaign. Thank you to everyone who made 2006-2007 donations. We will send out a document in September listing all donations for each program, state and region.
