Re: New Benefit of NHSA

It is our pleasure to tell you about an exciting new benefit for the Head Start community from the National Head Start Association (“NHSA”):
- NHSA has heard the needs of its members to receive useful, timely, and accurate information on the changes stemming from Reauthorization. As a result, NHSA commissioned legal counsel to write a series of user-friendly Head Start Reauthorization “Action Alerts” (or issue briefs) in response to our members’ needs.
- You can now download the first NHSA Head Start Reauthorization "Action Alert" on Changes to Governance from the NHSA website here. This issue brief, written by attorneys Edward T. Waters, J. Zoe Beckerman, and Carrie Bill of the Washington D.C. law firm Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP, is the first in a series that will be distributed by NHSA to the Head Start community.
- This first Action Alert on Changes to Governance was generously funded by the Kaplan Early Learning Company.
We hope you find it useful and distribute it to your program’s Board of Directors, Policy Council, Senior Staff and others who might need it. Feel free to send it to your friends and colleagues and let them know that NHSA is working hard to meet their needs.
