With support from the Omidyar Network, hear from Innovation Edge leader, Sonja Giese on their creative process and project succeses.

Workshop: Entrepeneur's Business Bootcamp

Lead by faculty from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah, take a crash course in learning the basic components required for building successful business plans and pitching them to funders.

New Ideas Workshop: Translating Creativity into Action Through Design

What shall we teach the children now, in our era of visual information? Rethinking "the basics" through the lens of human centered design.

Speaker: Susan Marcus, Researcher, Educator, Author. Designer of the "New World Kids" program.

Opening Reception at The Central Kitchen

On this evening tour, witness an entrepreneurial venture by Utah Community Action’s Head Start program: a commercial kitchen providing valuable skills in culinary employment, nutrition, cost management, resume preparation and interviewing. Additionally, hear how this enterprise was born and grown to serve over 5,000 meals daily. Experience their passion for serving high quality, affordable, nutritious meals to children within their program and to other community organizations. Indulge in some tasty fare yourself over drinks at a fun, end of day reception! Tickets include round trip transportation to the kitchen.
