The Dream Lives On: Celebrating 45 Years of Head Start

On September 22, 2010, the National Head Start Association will host The Dream Lives On: Celebrating 45 Years of Head Start.  The celebration will be held at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC.  This anniversary celebration will bring together friends and supporters of Head Start from across the country.  We will pay special tribute to the visionaries who had a hand in building this commitment to America’s children and to the exceptional Head Start alumni and parents who are the beneficiaries.

NHSA Launches SupportHeadStart.org

To help the Head Start and Early Head Start community get important and timely messages to Capitol Hill, we have launched www.SupportHeadStart.org

From this easy-to-use website, you can send a message to your Representatives and Senators about Head Start and Early Head Start appropriations for FY 2011.

We need your help and the time is now! Congress may not approve the President's budget request for Head Start for FY 2011, which means we could lose the gains we recently made through the Recovery Act.
