The Iowa Head Start Association recently presented Senator Tom Harkin with the fifth Lady Bird Johnson Head Start Heroes Award. Senator Harkin received this award because of his strong support of federal investment in Head Start. The award was madde at a January 27 ceremony on Capitol Hill.
