Tell President Obama What Head Start Means to You!

President Obama has been a steadfast supporter of Head Start and Early Head Start. However, pressure to resolve our nation’s economic problems is growing, and the President and members of his administration will be forced to make difficult decisions about how to spend federal dollars. Research tells us the benefits of Head Start last, but just as important, our experience tells us Head Start works. If you have a Head Start story about someone who attended Head Start and has had success in school and in life, visit www.supportheadstart.org and email your story to the President. Everyone’s support is needed to ensure that Head Start remains a window of opportunity for at-risk children and their families.

Time & Effort Reporting and Cost Allocation
Presented by Ted Waters, Esq, Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP

With the myriad funding sources that programs juggle, following the federal rules for cost allocation carefully and appropriately has never been more important. If your program fails to follow these rules correctly, monitoring findings, cost disallowances, and additional penalties can result. In addition, if you are applying under recompetition, the Phase 2 part of the application requires information on these topics. Register for this webinar to learn:

  • Requirements for Time and Effort Reporting, including the 4 necessary elements for time sheets/personnel activity reports;
  • Common timesheet problems;
  • How to do cost allocation; and
  • Why all of this should matter to you.

Who Should Attend: Executive Directors, Head Start Program Directors, CFOs, and others involved in planning or accounting activities, but all are welcome to attend.

  • What the Head Start eligibility rules are (and, which are mandatory or optional);
