National Head Start Association Announces Congressional PROMISE Award Recipients
Head Start Community, Members of Congress Convene for Winter Leadership Institute
(Washington, DC) – The National Head Start Association (NHSA) will host a Congressional Breakfast during its annual Winter Leadership Institute that will include Members of Congress, Head Start leaders and alumni. These Head Start champions will discuss the pivotal role Head Start plays in the lives of our nation’s most vulnerable children.
With eyes on the future and a renewed national commitment to Head Start, PNC Bank senior vice president and Head Start alumna Terri Copeland will join several Members of Congress to speak about Head Start’s transformative impact. PNC Bank has a steadfast and enduring commitment to supporting Head Start and expanding access to quality early learning for our nation’s most vulnerable children. Six Members of Congress will also be honored with NHSA’s PROMISE award, “Protecting Our Most Important Students Early,” for their enthusiastic and continued support of the Head Start advantage.
