Is There an Application Fee?
Yes. A fee is necessary to cover the costs of reviewing the application. The
Quality Initiative fee is based upon Head Start program federal funding levels.
Fees may initially appear to be higher when compared to other early childhood
accreditation programs, but remember that the Quality Initiative fee covers
the entire agency meaning that all sites within that agency can be included
in one application. NHSA supports the continuation of the project through additional
sponsorships. NHSA does this because it believes strongly in the need for a
nationally available, independent recognition for Head Start programs.
