Grassroots Research Breakfast
On April 18, 2007, the Research and Evaluation Department held its second Grassroots Research Breakfast at NHSA's annual training conference in San Antonio, Texas. The purpose of this breakfast panel was to teach interested practitioners and researchers how state or regional Head Start association research committees can improve program services and inform policymaking. These committees are key in promoting research that strengthens Head Start and Early Head Start programs and improve outcomes for Head Start and Early Head Start children and families.
This breakfast featured a keynote speaker and a panel of researchers and practitioners. The keynote speaker and panelists shared their research committee experiences and offered insight into ways to develop new state or regional association research committees.
