Lead Poisoning Prevention



About 1 in 22 children have high levels of lead in their blood, according the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That’s why NHSA has partnered with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA.) Together, they are providing information, materials, and activities to Head Start programs concerning lead poisoning prevention.

The following education materials were developed in conjunction with Head Start staff and parents. Please use them with families in your program to help reduce the harmful impact lead poisoning has on thousands of American children.
