218,000 children will be kicked out of Head Start.
55,000 Head Start staff will lose their jobs.

2011 Stroll-In for Head Start to Congressional Offices
Next Wednesday, February 23 between 1PM and 3 PM local time, gather your Head Start family, friends, and supporters to visit the local offices of your Members of Congress. Join thousands in a nation-wide Stroll-In for Head Start. Tell your elected officials how devastating cuts to Head Start will be to your family and the local ecomony!
Here's how...
| 1. Find your local district office! District offices are located throughout your state. | |

a. Click here to identify your Members of Congress. b. Click on your Members' names for a link to their website. c. Go to their website and find the address of the nearest district office. c. Contact your director or state association director to confirm which office to visit.

| 2. Organize your own community! Reach out to everyone you know. | |
a. Post details of the Stroll-In on Facebook. b. Call or email friends and supporters about the 2011 Stroll-In for Head Start. c. Distribute and post this flyer wherever you can (en espanol).

3. Send a media advisory to your local TV, radio, and newspaper! A long line of strollers is a great photo-op! | |
