The new Head Start Performance Standards raise expectations for grantees’ use of data and the adoption of continuous quality improvement (CQI) as a management process. While introducing the new Standards, OHS cautioned that a traditional, compliance oriented approach to managing programs is no longer sufficient. CQI processes represent an opportunity for real growth but also significant change from the familiar. This full-day session will be a unique opportunity for teams to be introduced to the new world of improvement science and to learn the theory, tools and practices they can use as they re-calibrate their use of data in decision processes. The session will be led by Rick Mockler, Chief Quality Improvement Officer at NHSA, and Victoria Jones, Senior Manager of Data & Research at NHSA.
