Credentials Program Extension Policy
Updated July 5, 2017
An extension can be requested if a candidate is unable to complete the Credential Portfolio by the original deadline date.
If approved, an extended deadline will be four (4) weeks after the original deadline date.
Only one extension per Credential Portfolio is permitted.
By requesting an extension, the candidate agrees to abide by the terms below. An extension may not be requested if the candidate does not accept these terms:
- An extension must be requested prior to the candidate’s original deadline date.
- To request an extension, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and provide the name of the candidate requesting the extension and the original deadline date.
- Effective August 1, 2017, an extension will incur an Extension Fee of $50. The candidate agrees to pay the Extension Fee before or on the extended deadline date. If the Extension Fee is not paid before or on the extended deadline date, the extended deadline will not be valid. As a result, the Credential Portfolio will be considered past due and the candidate will automatically be withdrawn from the Credentials Program. A link to the candidate’s invoice will be emailed to the candidate upon extension approval.
- If the Credential Portfolio is not submitted by the extended deadline date, the Credential Portfolio will be considered past due and the candidate will automatically be withdrawn from the Credentials Program. Similarly, the candidate who submits an incomplete Credential Portfolio will also automatically withdraw from the Credentials Program.
