For Head Start Programs and Supporters of Head Start

Inviting your member of Congress or local elected officials to visit your Head Start program is a great way to build relationships and show them the impact your program has on the local community. To help you with this process, NHSA has created a simple How-To Guide for inviting your elected officials to your program, hosting a successful visit and appropriately following-up after the visit.

Additionally, there are other ways to connect with your members of Congress, especially during August recess. Check out the NHSA August Recess Toolkit for some opportunities to foster those relationships today.

If you have any questions or would like assistance connecting with your elected officials, please contact Kim Cooper at kcooper@nhsa.org.

Head Start Town Hall Toolkit
