Head Start Disaster Relief Fund
The National Head Start Association (NHSA) Disaster Relief Fund is used to assist NHSA member Head Start and Early Head Start programs and their staff and families who become victims of natural disasters. We define a natural disaster as the following: a major adverse event resulting from natural processes of the Earth; examples include floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and other geologic processes. A natural disaster can cause loss of life or property damage.

About this Conference
NHSA’s Annual Head Start Conference and Expo is the largest national event devoted to the Head Start and Early Head Start community. This year more than 3,000 executive directors, directors, administrators, managers, teachers, policy council members, and parents from from every state will gather in Long Beach, California.

Promoting parent and family engagement
NHSA’s 37th annual Parent and Family Engagement Conference is the only national event that focuses on how Head Start parents, families, and staff can best partner to promote both family engagement and children’s development.
The 2019 Parent and Family Engagement conference will explore a wide range of new resources and thinking on the forefront topics of young children and how Head Start programs can address the needs of children, families, and staff.
